KISSIMMEE, Fla. – There are a few young anglers in Sunday’s Championship Round of the MLF Bass Pro Tour B&W Trailer Hitches Stage One Presented by Power-Pole. Jordan Lee and Dustin Connell are both under 30 years old, but the youngest angler competing in today’s Championship Round is 26-year-old Alton Jones, Jr.

“This is my first opportunity to go into the final day of an event to win a trophy like that,” Jones explained. “There’s only one trophy and these 10 guys want it really bad.”
“Junior”, as he is affectionately known by some, is the son of MLF
“He told me how proud he was of me,” Jones said. “He said that they would be praying for me and that I need to go win it.”
The Texas native will have to beat out some big names if he wants to take home the $100,000 prize and the Stage One trophy. “It makes me really proud. It proves to myself that I belong in the same group as these guys,” Jones said with a smile. “Hopefully I can come away with the win, but when it’s your time it’s your time, my fingers are just crossed that Sunday is my time.”
