BRANSON, Mo. — Group B is ready to take on Table Rock Lake for Elimination Round 2. Only the Top 20 anglers after eight hours of fishing today will move on to the Knockout Round where they will meet the Top 20 anglers from Group A.
Overcast skies cover southwest Missouri and rain is expected later on in the day. We will see if the weather can hold off to give our 40 pros a chance to catch the copious amounts of bass inside Table Rock Lake.
8:05 p.m. CT – It’s official. After an hour and 20 minutes weather delay, we have our Top 20:
7:18 p.m. CT – MLF officials have just informed us that lines will go back in the water at 7:20 p.m. CT and the 40 pros in Group B will continue to fish until the normal 8 p.m. stop time.
5:58 p.m. CT – There will be a delay in Elimination Round 2 due to lightning in the Table Rock Lake area. Lines will come out of the water at 6 p.m. CT and an announcement will be made on how long the delay will last. Stay updated on MajorLeagueFishing.com and all of MLF’s social media pages for more updates.
5:21 p.m. CT – One period remains in Elimination Round 2 and here’s the Top 20 as it stands right now:
5:00 p.m. CT – Edwin Evers is in a rare position for him this season: he is sitting right on the Elimination Line. Evers has 70-15 and has only caught 17-1 today. It’s been tough out on Table Rock Lake for the Stage Two Champion.
3:55 p.m. CT – If we do some guessing, we can assume that the top seven pros–Todd Faircloth, Scott Suggs, Brandon Palaniuk, Ott DeFoe, Dustin Connell, Kevin VanDam, and Mark Daniels, Jr.–are moving on to the Knockout Round. As for the rest of the 13 pros in the Top 20, they have some work to do.
3:07 p.m. CT – The wind is starting to pick up out on the water and it looks like the stormy weather is on its way. Brent Chapman just made the comment that with this weather moving in, that the fish should start to bite. The ironic thing about that statement is that he set the hook on a scoreable bass right after he said that. He sits in 21st place and 1 pound behind James Watson.
2:35 p.m. CT – Here’s the Top 20 after on period of fishing on Table Rock Lake:
2:05 p.m. CT – About 30 minutes remain in Period 1 and we have seen some impressive weights already today. Seven pros have already surpassed 20 pounds caught in Period 1. Todd Faircloth is now over the 100-pound threshold with 102-8 as he remains your leader.
1:41 p.m. CT – Brent Ehrler is one of the big movers in today’s Elimination Round 2. He started the day in 20th place but has rocketed up SCORETRACKER™ to 14th place due to more than 18 pounds of bass caught in the first hour-and-a-half of fishing.
12:55 p.m. CT – We have a new leader in Group B. Todd Faircloth has jumped ahead of Ott DeFoe for the top spot with 15-01 caught today. Faircloth’s total is now 88-9 and puts him 3-10 ahead of DeFoe. The Texas pro has caught all spotted bass this afternoon fishing offshore.
12:14 p.m. CT – John Murray has found himself a nice spot offshore to begin the round. He has already caught 13-2 while no other angler has more than 5 pounds caught today. Not only is he catching multiple bass, but he’s catching quality bass to move up SCORETRACKER®. Murray has landed a 2-0, 2-3, 2-13 and 3-1 to start this Elimination Round. He currently sits in 12th place.
12:09 p.m. CT – Casey Ashley is off and running in Period 1. He landed a 3-pound, 2-ounce bass early on in his day to move into ninth place. Ashley is now 11 pounds ahead of the Elimination Line.
