Mark Rose Reviews His Heavy Hitters Big Bass

June 8, 2020 • Bass Pro Tour

On Sunday, Brent Ehrler set the “big fish” bar high at 8-pounds, 6-ounces in Qualifying Day 1 of the Toyota Heavy Hitters Presented by Venmo.

In Qualifying Day 2, Mark Rose answered with a 9-2 Florida largemouth. On top of that, he admitted that at the time, he was more focused on catching enough bass to advance to the Knockout Round and move up in the points race, as opposed to targeting big bass. Rose is in Group B, and that group will return to the Kissimmee Chain on Wednesday. Group B anglers will have an opportunity to beat Rose’s 9-2, but if no one is able to, Rose will earn a $25,000 big-bass bonus prize.
