Day 2 of the Bass Pro Tour Berkley Stage Two Presented by Mercury brought a new set of 40 MLF pros to Lake Travis (Group B). However, the SCORETRACKER® looked similar to that of Day 1. The two anglers on top of SCORETRACKER® stood out, while the other 38 struggled. After a severe weather delay put an early end to Day 2, Jacob Wheeler is sitting on top of SCORETRACKER® with 52 pounds, 11 ounces. While catching one healthy largemouth after another, Wheeler had a couple unique catches that he reviewed when he came off the lake on Saturday.
Zack Birge is in second with 42-2. All of the other pros in Group B have less than 30 pounds, but everyone will soon have another crack at catching ’em on Lake Travis. Group B will fish their second Qualifying Day on Monday, and their first-day weights will carry over. At the end of the day on Monday, the pro with the highest cumulative weight will skip the Knockout Round and advance to the Championship Round.
