Challenge Cup

Sunday, August 25 – Friday, August 30
7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time

Format

  1. There will be four Team Series Cups this season.
  2. 78 current MLF Bass Pro Tour Anglers will be eligible to form 48 total two-man teams by way of two drafts. The 48 Teams will be divided into the four Team Series Cups (12 Teams per Cup). The top 24 anglers based on points earned in Stages 1-4 will serve as draft captains for the Challenge Cup and Heritage Cup. The top 24 anglers based on points earned in Stages 4-7 will serve as draft captains for the Patriot Cup and Summit Cup. Anglers selected to a Challenge Cup or Heritage Cup team are ineligible to be selected for a Patriot Cup or Summit Cup team unless they are a team captain in the second draft. Captains in both drafts may be selected by a higher-ranked captain. If they accept the selection, the next highest-ranked non-captain will serve as a captain. The top ranked captain receives first pick in each draft. Initial seeding is based on combined rank of both anglers on each team. Event and Match adjustments will be made, to the extent possible, to avoid scheduling conflicts disclosed prior to each draft.
