Phoenix MLF Fantasy Fishing Presented by Abu Garcia got off to a roaring start last week at Stop 1 of the 2022 Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit season on Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Texas.
Tennessee pro Michael Neal racked up 26 pounds, 5 ounces of Rayburn largemouth on Championship Sunday to claim the $100,000 paycheck, and FantasyFishing.com competitor Trey O. finished the week with 351-3 to pace the thousands of players who participated in Pro Circuit fantasy Stop 1.
Next up: Bass Pro Tour Fantasy Fishing is open and it’s time to pick your 10-angler team.
The 2022 Bass Pro Tour season kicks off Saturday, Feb. 5 in West Monroe, Louisiana, with B&W Trailer Hitches Stage One Presented by Power-Pole. The 80-angler Bass Pro Tour field will compete on three fisheries that are new to the majority of the field: Lake D’Arbonne, Caney Creek Reservoir and Bussey Brake.
As was the case with the Pro Circuit fantasy opener, Bass Pro Tour fantasy players will draft their 10-angler teams for opportunities to compete in both public and private leagues, with prizes on the line for both the season and for each individual BPT event.
The overall season Bass Pro Tour fantasy champion will win an all-expenses-paid fishing trip with BPT pro Justin Lucas. The Top 25 fantasy players in each event will win an Abu Garcia rod/reel combo.
The rules for Bass Pro Tour Fantasy Fishing are simple: prior to each Bass Pro Tour event, build your dream roster of 10 anglers for that particular fishery, choosing five anglers from Group A and five from Group B. At least one of those anglers from each group must be ranked No. 40 or below in Angler of the Year rankings.
Once your team of 10 anglers is drafted, watch MLF NOW! to see how your anglers perform. The team that puts the most cumulative weight on SCORETRACKER® wins.
The Fenwick MLF Predictor Game Presented by Mercury kicks off simultaneously with Bass Pro Tour Fantasy Fishing on Feb. 5, providing fantasy players another game option with great prizes.
Predictor players will be asked to choose the outcome of six questions asked about the results of Stage One, with points awarded for correct answers. In order to submit Predictor picks, players must be logged into their MLF Fan Pass account: you can sign up for free in the MLF Members section of MajorLeagueFishing.com.
The overall season-long winner of the Predictor Game will win an all-expenses-paid fishing trip with 2019 REDCREST champion and AOY Edwin Evers. The Top 25 Predictor finishers for each of the nine events during the Bass Pro Tour season will win a Fenwick rod.
