During the 2020 Bass Pro Tour season, MLF pro Dave Lefebre will be traveling in extreme comfort, sporting a new custom-designed Phoenix Pop Up Camper specifically fitted to his 2020 Toyota Tundra Platinum.
The Erie, Pennsylvania native has won multiple Angler of the Year awards and national tournament titles, including the 2009 Toyota Texas Bass Classic and three FLW Tour competitions. His 70 top-10 finishes and seven career wins have contributed to nearly $3 million in career winnings to date.
“I travel the country to fish,” Lefebre said. “I’ve spent many months on the road, camping with my wife, Anne, and two kids for 12 years. In 2016, we reluctantly sold our camper and I began traveling solo, booking sketchy motels, never knowing what I was going to find from week to week. To put it mildly, I hated it.”
Phoenix Campers are personalized to fit every individual’s needs and wants. They’re built with toughness and pride to be the best performing off-roading camper imaginable.
“I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am,” Lefebre said. “Rob and Cari make the absolute best custom pop-ups in the industry. I’m pretty sure if it has wheels, they can put a home on it. Their reputation is outstanding and the quality of their work is top-notch. They’ve been a family-owned and operated business for 30 years and I look forward to working alongside them for many years to come.”
“Dave is a great role model, family man and ambassador to the sport of fishing,” said Rob Rowe, president of Phoenix Pop Up Campers. “When it comes to competition and promotion, his 15-year track record speaks for itself.
We are not only building a unit that best suits his specific needs as a fisherman, but also something that will feel like home and will save him time, headaches and traveling expenses.”
“We’re excited to be exposing our brand to the fishing community, and are especially proud to have Dave on the Phoenix team!”
