Boater Huey Applegate of Jessieville, Ark., caught a five-bass limit weighing 14 pounds, 12 ounces Saturday to win $4,575 in the BFL Arkie Division tournament on Lake Ouachita.

Dennis Bean of Hot Springs, Ark., weighed five bass for 13-6 to take second place and $2,288 in the Boater Division; in third was Michael Morton of McCaskill, Ark., four bass, 12-14, $1,525; fourth place belonged to Sheril Middleton of Batesville, Ark., three bass, 12-10, $1,068; and Kevin Brown of Malvern, Ark., placed fifth with four bass, 12-7, $915.

Rounding out the top 10 boaters in the BFL Arkie event on Lake Ouachita:

6th: Al Fisher, Hackett, Ark., 11-15, $839

7th: A.J. Harvey, Bismarck, Ark., 11-12, $763

8th: Kerry Barnett, Waldron, Ark., 10-11, $648

8th: Scott Suggs, Bryant, Ark., 10-11, $648

10th: Fred Martin, North Little Rock, Ark., 9-7, $534

Co-angler Evan Webster of Bryant, Ark., won the Feb. 20 BFL Arkie Division event to earn $2,179.In the Co-angler Division, Evan Webster of Bryant, Ark., caught four fish weighing 11 pounds, 1 ounce to win $2,179.

The next BFL Arkie Division tournament is scheduled for March 27 at DeGray Lake in Arkadelphia, Ark. The top 40 anglers and 40 co-anglers from each of the five division tournaments will qualify for the Oct. 14-16 Regional Championship on Lake Texoma in Denison, Texas, where boaters will fish for a new Ranger 198VX powered by a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard plus a Chevy pickup and co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
