Boater Chris Dillow of Waynesboro, Va., caught a five-bass limit weighing 16 pounds, 6 ounces Saturday to win $3,756 plus a $2,000 Ranger Cup bonus in the FLW BFL Shenandoah Division tournament on the James River. Under cloudy skies, Dillow was junk-fishing around sticks and trees to bag his limit.

David Williams of Fredericksburg, Va., caught a five-bass limit weighing 8 pounds, 13 ounces to win $1,835 in the Co-angler Division on the James River. Williams traveled 25 miles away from ramp and was fishing grassy areas to bring in his limit.

Coming up

The next and last BFL Shenandoah Division tournament for 2010 is scheduled for Sept. 11-12, a Super Tournament at the Potomac River in Woodbridge, Va. After that tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 7-9 Regional Championship at the Potomac River in Marbury, Md., where boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
