HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Major League Fishing’s (MLF) premiere showcase, REDCREST 2025, the Bass Pro Tour championship, will visit Huntsville, Alabama, and Lake Guntersville in early April 2025 to crown professional bass fishing’s newest world champion.

“We are excited about bringing the fishing world to Huntsville for REDCREST 2025,” said Judy Ryals, President and CEO of the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Sitting in the middle of one of the great bass fishing areas in the United States, we look forward to seeing REDCREST continue to grow when it comes to the Rocket City and the Expo takes over the Von Braun Center as we create a one-of-a-kind experience for everyone interested in the sport.”

The four-day event, filmed for television broadcast on Discovery and Outdoor Channel, will showcase the top 48 MLF anglers from the 2024 – including the top 40 anglers from the Bass Pro Tour – competing for the prestigious REDCREST Championship and the sport’s top prize of $300,000.

Anglers will launch each day from Civitan Park, located at 1800 Sunset Drive, in Guntersville, Alabama. Exact times will be announced in the coming weeks. Fans are welcome to attend all launch events and also encouraged to follow the event online throughout the day on the MLFNOW! live stream and SCORETRACKER® coverage at MajorLeagueFishing.com

In conjunction with the event, the FREE, family-friendly MLF Outdoor Sports Expo will also take place throughout the weekend, April 4-6 at the Von Braun Center, located at 700 Monroe St. SW, in Huntsville. Fishing and outdoor enthusiasts will have the opportunity to visit numerous booths and vendors, showcasing the latest and greatest in fishing, boating and the outdoors. The biggest names in the outdoor industry will be on hand, including the professional anglers that compete on the Bass Pro Tour and Bass Fishing Hall of Famers like Jimmy Houston, Roland Martin and Hank Parker.

“We couldn’t be happier to bring REDCREST 2025 to Huntsville, Alabama,” said Michael Mulone, MLF Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. “Huntsville has been extremely successful hosting a variety of major sporting events, and we are pleased to work with them to roll out the red carpet for our fans.

“Huntsville is one of the fastest growing cities in America and it’s our pleasure to work with them to welcome a national audience via the MLF platforms,” Mulone continued. “The best word to describe Lake Guntersville is legendary. So many of our MLF anglers call Lake Guntersville their home for good reason and between the competition on the water and the excitement at the expo, this will be a can’t miss event.”

The tournament will showcase the MLF catch, weigh, immediate-release format, in which anglers catch as much weight as they can each day, while also feeling the pressure and intensity of the SCORETRACKER® leaderboard.

The MLFNOW! broadcast team of Chad McKee and J.T. Kenney will break down the extended action live each day of competition. MLFNOW! is livestreamed on MajorLeagueFishing.com, the MyOutdoorTV (MOTV) app and Rumble.

The 2024 Bass Pro Tour featured a field of 78 of the top professional anglers in the world, competing across seven regular-season tournaments around the country, for millions of dollars and valuable points to qualify for the annual General Tire Heavy Hitters all-star event and REDCREST 2025.

Proud sponsors of the MLF Bass Pro Tour include: Abu Garcia, B&W Trailer Hitches, Bass Pro Shops, Berkley, BUBBA, Epic Baits, Fishing Clash, Garmin, General Tire, Humminbird, Lowrance, Mercury, MillerTech, Minn Kota, Mossy Oak Fishing, NITRO, Onyx, Plano, Power-Pole, PowerStop Brakes, Rapala, REDCON1, Star brite, Suzuki, Toyota, WIX Filters and U.S. Air Force.
