BROOKELAND, Texas – After Day 2, it’s fair to say it’s Alec Morrison and then everyone else in the Toyota Series Presented by Phoenix Boats event on Sam Rayburn Reservoir. Weighing 29 pounds, 9 ounces today, Morrison boosted his total to 57-2. In second, Tater Reynolds had another good day to get to 34-11, but is still 22-7 behind Morrison after the New York angler put up back-to-back big days.
We’ll see how Day 3 goes, but as of now, the biggest three-day winning margin in Toyota Series history is 17-15 and belongs to Ken Howden, a mark he set back in 2011 on Roosevelt Lake. With things as they are, that mark is certainly in jeopardy. The biggest four-day Toyota Series winning margin is 20-14, which Mark Pack set in 2004 on Pickwick.
On the Angler of the Year side, Todd Castledine finished 26th and locked up his fifth Southwestern Division AOY title.
