ALEXANDRIA, Minn. – With the Lucas Oil Qualifier Presented by B&W Trailer Hitches set to premiere on Outdoor Channel at 2 p.m. ET on New Year’s Eve, fishing fans have a new type of competition to look forward to, and the pros agree: The General Tire Team Series will change the sport.
The Lucas Oil Qualifier from Alexandria, Minnesota, is the first of three qualifying events for the Bass Pro Shops Championship. The qualifier consists of three matches, and each match features three teams of three MLF pros. Every match is two days long, and the team with the highest cumulative weight advances to the Bass Pro Shops Championship. Here’s a breakdown of the format:
