GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The final countdown has begun for the 2024 General Tire Team Series as the top nine teams from the three qualifier events embark on Florida’s Rodman Reservoir or Lochloosa, Orange and Santa Fe Lakes for the Bass Pro Shops Championship Presented by B&W Trailer Hitches.

While winning is always the goal, the main focus at the Championship’s Elimination Match 1 was placing first or second, as only the third-place team was sent packing. With a collective 45 bass weighing 95 pounds, 1 ounce, team Knighten Industries (Wesley Strader, Matt Becker and Scott Suggs) won Elimination Match 1. Meanwhile, Stephen Browning, Anthony Gagliardi and Keith Poche of team Ferguson placed second with 39 bass weighing 69-15.

Team Smokey Mountain Herbal Snuff & Pouches (Casey Ashley, Jacob Wall and Terry Scoggins) put up a good fight but failed to make the cut with 21 bass weighing 31-8.
