GALLERY: General Tire Team Series takes to private Texas lakes

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The third and final General Tire Team Series Qualifier of 2023 takes us to College Station, where fans will see three two-day matches take place on private lakes in the area. Match 1 of the Builders FirstSource Qualifier Presented by Berkley started on Gibbons Creek, a power plant reservoir that’s located about 20 miles east of College Station.

It didn’t take long for Team Fox Rent a Car to figure out the bite and establish an early lead. Team captain Ott DeFoe chose Keith Poche and Kelly Jordon to round out his team, and together they put 82 fish on SCORETRACKER® for a total of 139 pounds, 3 ounces. They’ll finish their match on a different lake, and they’ll carry thier lead of 18-6 over to Day 2. Team Knighten Industries (Takahiro Omori, Casey Ashley and Dean Rojas) ended Day 1 in second place with 120-14, and in third place sits Team Kubota (Andy Montgomery, Cody Meyer and James Watson) with 72-15.
