GALLERY: Team REDCON1’s DeFoe and Montgomery go for gold at Heritage Cup

NEENAH, Wis. — It was a battle to the end during Friday’s Championship Round of the Knighten Industries Heritage Cup Presented by Berkley, the second event of the fall edition of the 2024 General Tire Team Series Presented by Bass Pro Shops.

A slow morning gave way to a strong afternoon for Ott DeFoe and Andy Montgomery of Team REDCON1. The duo used their skills around boat docks to climb SCORETRACKER® and claim the top spot in Period 2, but Alton Jones and Alton Jones Jr. of Team Builders FirstSource made a hard charge and nearly closed the gap in the final minutes.

Ultimately, DeFoe and Montgomery’s collective 29 bass weighing 55 pounds, 8 ounces topped the father-son duo by 5-7. They celebrated the victory with family, friends and fans as they were awarded the Heritage Cup trophies and $20,000 apiece.

Team Series action will resume Oct. 24-29 with the Patriot Cup.
