LONGVIEW, Texas – Alton Jones, Brent Chapman and Dave Lefebre won the first semifinals match at the General Tire Team Series Builders FirstSource Qualifier Presented by Berkley with a collective 43 bass weighing 63 pounds, 1 ounce. Those 43 bass were worth their weight in gold, as the win granted team Star brite a spot at the Bass Pro Shops Team Series Championship.
There’s still a second chance for second-place team Builders FirstSource (Gary Klein, Jesse Wiggins and Kyle Hall), as their 26 bass totaling 42-15 earned them a spot at the Wild Card match, where they’ll face the winning team from Semifinals Match 2. Meanwhile, Mark Daniels Jr., Randy Howell and Cliff Crochet of team Sqwincher narrowly missed the cut with 24 bass weighing 39-3.
