Ozark Division – Stark wins Red Man Bass event On Bull Shoals

BULL SHOALS, Ark – Harold Stark, 38, of Eldon, Mo., out-fished 110 competitors Saturday to earn $3,957 and 50 CITGO Challenge Points on the boater side of the Red Man Tournament Trail’s Ozark Division event on Bull Shoals.

Stark caught five bass weighing 13 pounds, 7 ounces during the one-day event to sneak by Troy Eakins of Nixa, Mo., who finished with a five-bass catch of 13-5 worth $1,978. Stark caught his limit flipping a double tail jig into rocks and laydowns in the Theodosia Arm area of the lake. Eakins, however, won the Abu Garcia Big Bass Award in the Boater Division and collected $550 for a 5-pound, 4-ounce bass.

Brennan Bosley of Benton, Ark., took third place and collected $989 for five bass weighing 12-10. Bobby Comstock of Protem, Mo., placed fourth and earned $857 for five bass weighing 12-8, while Larry Hurtt of Harrison, Ark., placed fifth and earned $791 for five bass weighing 12-6.

First place in the Co-Angler Division and $1,978 went to Stacey Harlan, 24, of Pomona, Mo., who topped 110 competitors with five bass weighing 10-11. Second place in the Co-Angler Division and $989 went to Kevin Shelton of Springdale, Ark., for five bass weighing 10-7, while Clayton Reitz of Morton, Ill., took third place and $495 with five bass weighing 10-0.

Justin Still, a 17-year-old student from Yellville, Ark., won the co-angler Abu Garcia Big Bass Award of $275 for a 3-pound, 11-ounce largemouth he caught off a rocky structure in 25 feet of water at the back of Long Bottom Creek.

Western Division – Gliebe wins Red Man Bass event on Clear Lake

LAKEPORT, Calif. – David Gliebe of Stockton, Calif., earned $3,002 and 50 CITGO Challenge Points Saturday for winning the boater side of the Red Man Tournament Trail’s Western Division event on Clear Lake.

Gliebe caught five largemouth bass weighing 29 pounds, 14 ounces during the one-day event to edge out Jim Reese of Ukiah, Calif., who finished with a five-bass catch of 28-3 worth $1,501. Gliebe caught his limit, including a 10-pound, 8-ounce largemouth that earned him the Abu Garcia Big Bass Award in the Boater Division and an additional $340, out of shallow water on the north end of the lake.

Andre Moor of Irmo, S.C. took third place and collected $750 for five bass weighing 24-12. Peter Jenson of Roseville, Calif., placed fourth and earned $651 for five bass weighing 24-7, while Ishama Monroe of Vallejo, Calif., placed fifth and earned $600 for five bass weighing 24-1.

First place in the Co-Angler Division and $1,501 went to Pat Wilson of Petaluma, Calif., who landed five bass weighing 19-9. Second place in the Co-Angler Division and $750 went to Kyle Clement of Anderson, Calif., for five bass weighing 15-7, while Scott Moreau of San Jose, Calif., took third place and $375 with five bass weighing 14-14.

Mitch Thiele of Santa Rosa, Calif., won the co-angler Abu Garcia Big Bass Award of $170 for a 7-pound, 7-ounce largemouth he caught while fishing a jerkbait around a boat dock in the north end of the lake.

Plains Division – Fitzpatrick wins Red Man Bass event On Lake Stockton

STOCKTON, Mo. – Roger Fitzpatrick, 35, of Eldon, Mo., out-fished 102 competitors Saturday to earn $3,774 and 50 CITGO Challenge Points on the boater side of the Red Man Tournament Trail’s Plains Division event on Lake Stockton.

Fitzpatrick caught five largemouth bass weighing 18 pounds, 6 ounces during the one-day event to top Bernard Thoenen of Centertown, Mo., who finished with a five-bass catch of 17-5 worth $1,887. Fitzpatrick caught his limit, including a 6-pound, 13-ounce lunker off rock banks using a yellow Wiggle Wart. Thoenen, however, won the Abu Garcia Big Bass Award in the Boater Division and collected $510 for an 8-pound, 6-ounce largemouth he caught while dragging a green-pumpkin Chomper in 2 feet of water near the State Park.

Dan Ferguson of Elwood, Neb. took third place and collected $944 for five bass weighing 16-8. Max Killion Jr. of Wichita, Kan., placed fourth and earned $818 for five bass weighing 16-5, while David McCormick of Shawnee, Kan., placed fifth and earned $755 for five bass weighing 15-8.

First place in the Co-Angler Division and $1,850 went to Ronald Spradley, 44, of Barnhart, Mo., who topped 97 competitors with five bass weighing 16-0. Second place in the Co-Angler Division and $925 went to Mike Beezley of Springfield, Mo., for five bass weighing 14-2, while David Dunham of Nixa, Mo., took third place and $463 with five bass weighing 12-14.

Eddie Silvey, 41, of Russelville, Mo., won the co-angler Abu Garcia Big Bass Award of $242 for a 7-pound, 8-ounce bass he on a Carolina-rigged Zoom lizard.

Dave Standage of Springfield, Mo., won the Berkley Power Bait award, a package of baits valued at $200, for the heaviest overall catch on Power Bait or Frenzy lures. He caught five bass weighing 14-5.
