BROOKELAND, Texas – The kid from Champlain got it done on Sam Rayburn. Weighing 16 pounds, 3 ounces on the final day, Alec Morrison earned a dominating win in the Toyota Series Presented by Phoenix Boats Southwestern Division event with a 73-5 total. For the win, Morrison takes home his first MLF trophy and $70,975 in winnings.
Notably, Morrison also set the record for Toyota Series winning margin, beating Tater Reynolds by an even 24 pounds. Previously, the biggest three-day winning margin in Toyota Series history was 17-15 and belonged to Ken Howden, a mark he set back in 2011 on Roosevelt Lake. The biggest four-day Toyota Series winning margin is 20-14, which Mark Pack set in 2004 on Pickwick.
