VIDALIA, La. – The 2019 General Tire World Championship came to a close on Lake St. John following a blowout Championship Round. Four pros hit the water on the early March morning, but only one returned a World Champion. Jacob Wheeler, a name that seems to perpetually hold a place in MLF headlines, clinched the win and title with 47 pounds, 12 ounces, more than doubling second-place Takahiro Omori’s 21-4. Mike Iaconelli took third place with 9-14, followed by Aaron Martens with 7-8.
