With my mind and stomach fixed soley on the feast that is Thanksgiving, it seems what little creativity I have has been pushed aside on my plate in favor of turkey, mashed potatos and stuffing. I don’t know how it is in other families, but in mine Thanksgiving is THE holiday. My whole family gets together up in Wisconsin, my aunt cooks enough food to feed most of Rhode Island, we all tell stories of our outdoor successes and, better yet, failures, and we laugh until our over-stuffed sides feel like bursting.

While there’s probably enough food to feed all the readers of this blog, sadly I can’t invite you all (the less competition for the turkey the better). However, I figured the least I could do was share a little of the laughter.

Have a great Thanksgiving! … and slam the hooks!
