Ryan Salzman
Huntsville, AL
In 2019, Ryan Salzman resigned his commission as a Captain in the Army to chase a pro fishing career. The owner of True Bass Swimbaits and a guide on the Tennessee River, Salzman’s rise up the ranks has been fast and impressive. With four Phoenix Bass Fishing League wins at home, Salzman has also made the Top 10 in the Forrest Wood Cup and finished third in the Angler of the Year race on the Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit in 2021. Salzman made his first Bass Pro Tour Championship Round qualification during Stage Five in 2022, and then went on to win Stage Five outright for his first $100,000 check.

Salzman played the snare drums in college at the University of North Alabama, and he co-founded the University of North Alabama Fishing Team in 2008. Now, he owns his own business: Alabama Bass Guide. When he's not fishing, he enjoys golfing and hunting for whitetail.
