2013 marks Burks’s first season fishing the FLW Tour. Prior to his first year on Tour, Burks had only fished just five events with FLW. He started FLW competition in 2000 at Lake Stockton and his most recent tournament came in 2004 at Lake of the Ozarks. All of these events took place in the Plains or Ozark Divisions of the BFL circuit, his best finish being at 29th-place finish at Grand Lake.
