Considered one of the more experienced FLW Tour pros, Schenk has constantly proved himself as a threat on any lake. In 2011 he finished one of the best years of his career, grabbing two 11th-place finishes and a ninth-place finish. He also recorded his largest single day catch of 25 pounds, 12 ounces at Lake Okeechobee. Schenk has qualified for six Forrest Wood Cups. Schenk is the founder of the Purdue Bass Fishing Club and organized the first collegiate tournament between Purdue and Indiana University, which is still being held annually to this day.
