MUSKOGEE, Okla. – Let this be a warning to MLF fans and anglers alike: You can never count out a slow starter in an MLF Sudden Death Round. Just ask the anglers competing against Cody Meyer in the most recent episode of Major League Fishing on Outdoor Channel.

Meyer was slow out of the blocks in Sudden Death Round 2 of the Sqwincher Patriot Cup Presented by Venmo on Fort Gibson Lake, Oklahoma, but a flurry of catches – six fish in 10 minutes, to be exact – propelled the Northern California pro from the bottom half of the standings to the 14-pound Target Weight.

Meyer will now compete in the Championship Round. But in the meantime, Meyer sat down to watch his Sudden Death win for the first time. He’s joined by fellow final-round contender Jordan Lee, and the unfortunate first man out, Stephen Browning. It’s Episode 3 of Major League Fishing’s Cup Overflow, starting…now!
