KISSIMMEE, Fla. During the Championship Round of the Toyota Heavy Hitters Presented by Venmo, the minimum weight for a scorable bass was raised to 3 pounds for the first time in MLF history. That proved to be no problem for Jordan Lee, who won the Bass Pro Tour event, and also brought home the $100,000 big-bass reward. Lee’s total during the Championship Round was 12 bass for 52 pounds, 9 ounces. His $100,000 bass weighed 7-04.

Lee had a substantial lead over Bryan Thrift, who came in second with seven bass for 33-03. Mark Rose came in third with five bass for 21-14. We spoke to the Top 3 of the first-ever Heavy Hitters event when they came off the Kissimmee Chain on Friday and asked them for their take on the 3-pound minimum.
