Fletcher’s $25,000 Fish

The third day of competition in General Tire Heavy Hitters Presented by Bass Pro Shops was Qualifying Day 2 for Group A, which meant 20 MLF pros spent their second day on North Carolina’s Jordan Lake. While Fletcher Shryock started the day on the wrong side of the Toro Cut Line (in 11th place), he put on an impressive performance and caught 23 scorable bass for a total of 60 pounds, 8 ounces.

At the end of the day, Shryock won Group A’s Qualifying Round, which means he will skip the Knockout Round and fish the Heavy Hitters Championship Round on Wednesday. In addition to a spot in the Top 10, Shryock landed the biggest bass of Group A’s Qualifying Round: a 9-04. That Berkley Big Bass earned Shryock a $25,000 bonus.
