BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Jesse Wiggins can breathe a sigh of relief after a suspenseful Knockout Round that ended with him in ninth place at Bass Pro Shops REDCREST Powered by OPTIMA Lithium. Tensions were high for the anglers near the cut line, but Wiggins held a steady pace – thanks in part to switching up his bait from a soft-body swimbait to a shaky head around the noon hour.
Wiggins ended the day with 17 bass weighing 42 pounds, 13 ounces. It’s a clean slate for the Top 10 anglers in tomorrow’s Championship Round.
