3: Number of “pro-level” FLW tournaments that Ranger/Evinrude pro Brett Hite has won at least in part with vibrating jigs: the 2008 Walmart FLW Tour event on Lake Toho, the 2008 FLW Series event on the California Delta and the 2014 Walmart FLW Tour event on Lake Okeechobee.

By the numbers bonus

4 for 4: January-February domination

FLW hosted four multiday tournaments in January and February – Rayovac FLW Series events at Lake Okeechobee, Sam Rayburn Reservoir and Lake Havasu and the Walmart FLW Tour season-opener at Okeechobee. When all was said and done, all four events were won with wire-to-wire victories. The winners, respectively, were Keith Fels, Chris McCall, Billy Skinner and Brett Hite.

14: Approximate number of driving hours that Southwestern High School anglers Colton Smith and Brenton Clemons spent each way as they travelled to and from their hometown of Somerset, Ky., to Moore Haven, Fla., for the first Student Angler Federation High School Fishing Open. They won the tournament with a 12-pound, 6-ounce limit.
