Day two of the Costa FLW Series Southwestern Division event presented by Mercury on Fort Gibson dawned much sunnier and breezier this morning. Anglers had high hopes that the wind might help improve the bite a smidge, but it’s remained tough.

Tournament leader Kyle Cortiana got off to a fast start in his primary spot with two immediate keepers, but then his action died.

Second-place pro Tommy Dickerson made a sizeable run to the far end of a creek and then proceeded to grind his way back in through skinny water by use of his trolling motor. This included using the trolling motor force to pull the boat hull over rocks. He made it in, but unfortunately the camera boat didn’t, so we have no updates on Dickerson. Chances are his skinny creek still has a few keepers in it.

The Daylight Donuts man, Ryan Wilbanks, had boated three keepers by noon. And Tommy Biffle had two keepers, but one was a solid Fort Gibson stud. Fellow top-five pro Casey Scanlon was still struggling to find his first keeper.

Day-two weigh-in begins at 3 p.m. CT. You can watch and see who makes the cut on FLW Live.
