FLORENCE, Ala. – Day 1 of the Toyota Series Presented by Phoenix Boats Central Division event on Pickwick Lake was a banger, with some huge bags crossing the stage. Then, anglers had largely placid weather to contend with – a warm, calm day spent fishing fairly frigid waters. Today’s weather promises a change of pace, with gusty winds already present at takeoff, the beginning of a rapid temperature drop to more seasonable realms is underway. While the fish may not know the difference, the wind is unlikely to make things easy on the anglers, which means everyone’s best efforts will be needed to make the Top 25 and fish Day 3.
Takeoff and weigh-in are open to the public at 7 a.m. CT and 3 p.m. CT at McFarland Park.
