ONAMIA, Minn. – If you ask Favorite Fishing pro Dustin Connell to describe his 2022 Bass Pro Tour season in one word, he’d say it’s “unreal.” But at this point in his career, it’s an undeniable fact that Connell can catch ’em anywhere he competes, whether that’s in his home state of Alabama, or up north, chasing smallmouth.

After winning Stage Three on Smith Lake, and Stage Six on Cayuga Lake, Connell won the Bally Bet Stage Seven Presented by Minn Kota on Mille Lacs Lake. The win on Thursday was Connell’s fourth of his Bass Pro Tour career, counting REDCREST in 2021 on Lake Eufaula. Connell caught 20 bass for 82-9, narrowly escaping a surging David Walker by just 4 ounces.
