Adrian Avena got on a hot streak in the final 15 minutes of competition, catching a 4-pound, 11-ounce largemouth followed by two 3-pounders in a row. Avena overtook Dustin Connell for the lead in those final moments with 16-2 for the day and a two-day total of 30-13.
