To nobody’s surprise, Michael Neal maintained his stellar lead that was established on Day 1 and finished atop SCORETRACKER® by a 24-pound margin over second place with 98 pounds, 3 ounces on 33 scorable bass – 22-7 of which were caught today. Meanwhile, there were plenty of surprises (and suspense) along the elimination line as Cliff Crochet found himself in eighth place with Alton Jones Jr. and Jacob Wheeler hot on his tail. Louisiana’s Cajun Baby sweat out the final minutes with less than a pound separating him from ninth place and will now advance to Wednesday’s Knockout Round.

Heavy Hitters action continues tomorrow with Group B returning to Smith Mountain Lake for their second day of qualifying on the MLFNOW! live stream at MajorLeagueFishing.com and the MyOutdoorTV (MOTV) app. The live stream begins at 7:30 a.m. ET and continues to 4:30 p.m. through May 22.
