Lefebre Scores $25,000 on an 8-3 Largemouth

April 12, 2021 • Bass Pro Tour

During the first two periods, Dave Lefebre‘s second day on Falls Lake wasn’t going as planned. He thought that he could stick to throwing a 13 Fishing frog and find success like he did during his first day of competition in General Tire Heavy Hitters Presented by Bass Pro Shops.

But when Lefebre decided to switch it up, it paid off big time. He now has a $25,000 big-bass bonus and a Heavy Hitters trophy to prove it. When Lefebre came off Falls Lake at the end of the day, he explained what it was like to land the 8-pound, 3-ounce largemouth that ended up being the big bass of Group B’s Qualifying Round. Now he’s moving on to the Knockout Round, where he’ll have a shot at making the Top 10 and the big bass bonus will be bumped up to $50,000.
