Chapman Prepares to Fight for Spot in Stage Two Championship Round

April 30, 2021 • Bass Pro Tour

While it was tough for many MLF pros to put scorable bass on SCORETRACKER® during the first day of Berkley Stage Two Presented by Mercury, two pros are standing out on Lake Travis: Brent Chapman and Mark Rose. While Chapman is currently in the lead with 46 pounds, 8 ounces, Mark Rose is in second with 40-12. Both of those Day 1 weights are significantly higher than the 38 other anglers in Group A (Alton Jones Jr. is in third with 26-10).

When Group A returns to Lake Travis on Sunday, their Day 1 weights will carry over and there’s a lot at stake: the pro on top of SCORETRACKER® at the end of the day will skip the Day 5 Knockout Round and advance straight to the Championship Round. Chapman explained how he plans to fend off Rose on Sunday.
