Alton Jones Jr. Lands a $50,000 Largemouth During Heavy Hitters Knockout Round

April 13, 2022 • Bass Pro Tour

TYLER, Texas – Not long after his Bass Pro Tour Stage Two win at Lake Fork, Alton Jones Jr. has proven yet again that he’s a force to be reckoned with when competing in his home state. During the Knockout Round of General Tire Heavy Hitters Presented by Bass Pro Shops, Jones landed a 6-pound, 10-ounce bass at the start of Period 2. Two hours later, he beat his own big bass, catching an 8-3.

Since Jones’ 8-pounder was the biggest fish of the Knockout Round, he earned the $50,000 big bass bonus.
