CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Though he didn’t start hot, Bryan Thrift was able to tap into his wealth of local knowledge on Lake Norman to get the job done at Bass Pro Shops REDCREST Presented by Shore Lunch. Catching 13 pounds, 10 ounces on a final day highlighted by brutal conditions, Thrift totaled 46-12 over the final three days to beat Alton Jones Jr. by more than 4 pounds. With the win, Thrift becomes the first Forrest Wood Cup champion to also hoist a REDCREST trophy, and also takes home $300,000.

More to come.
