Major League Fishing is proud to announce the first-ever MLF MVP.

The MVP candidates were chosen based on the performance rating they accumulated throughout the 2019 Bass Pro Tour season. The MLF performance rating is calculated from an average of the angler’s total weight and total fish caught, compared to that of the top performer in each round of competition he fished in the eight-event regular season.

The better these anglers’ weights and numbers of fish caught versus the top finishers in the 16 possible rounds they could fish, the higher their rating.

Who Are the Nominees?

Fishing fans will decide who will be the first MLF MVP by voting for the angler they think deserves to win this award. Fans will be able to vote daily on MajorLeagueFishing.com/mlf-mvp. The 12 nominees and their performance ratings are:

  1. Jacob Wheeler – 74.93
  2. Todd Faircloth – 70.19
  3. Edwin Evers – 69.36
  4. Ott DeFoe – 69.16
  5. Casey Ashley – 69.03
  6. Dave Lefebre – 68.59
  7. Zack Birge – 68.26
  8. Michael Neal – 68.13
  9. Wesley Strader – 67.89
  10. Jeff Sprague – 67.42
  11. Bobby Lane – 66.99
  12. Andy Morgan – 66.79

The voting will end on Sept. 30.

Prizes You Can Win

By participating in the voting process, MLF fans will be automatically entered into a pool for a special drawing. Every time you vote, your name will be re-entered into the pool. The more times you vote, the higher your chance to win!

You can also get a friend to vote or download the MLF app to enter your name for even more chances to win. Ten lucky voters will be chosen at random to win an MLF prize pack at the end of the voting period.

Voting is open now: Vote for your favorite angler, and your chance to win!
