DAYTON, Tenn. – Make no mistake, the third day of the first-ever FLW Pro Circuit Super Tournament will have a significantly different look and feel as boats leave Dayton Boat Dock to begin to chip away at leaders Jason Reyes, Jacob Wheeler, Cole Floyd and John Cox.

The most obvious change: 154 fewer boats on the waters of Lake Chickamauga and Watts Bar Lake.

With the Top 50 whittled down from a 204-angler field, Reyes, Wheeler and Floyd should see significantly less pressure on the community offshore spots they’ve been fishing this week, and Cox should have plenty more room to throw a frog around the shallow grass.

“There’s a big difference between 50 boats and 200 boats,” said Cody Meyer, who squeezed into the Top 5 with 21 pounds, 4 ounces. “This lake just sees a lot of pressure with guys fishing all the same community holes. I don’t think there’s a spot on this lake that hasn’t been fished, so the first place I see where there’s nobody fishing, I’m stopping there.”

Cutting to 10

The field of 50 will be whittled down to 10 after today; six anglers enter the morning within 1 pound of 10-place angler Alex Davis (35-1). In addition to Wheeler and Meyer, Fred Roumbanis is the other MLF angler currently inside the 10 cut (in eighth place).
