Brent Ehrler’s Approach to a New Lake: Mapping, Side Imaging, Forward-Facing Sonar

July 17, 2021 • Bass Pro Tour

What does an MLF pro rely on to quickly break down a new lake? If you’re Garmin pro Brent Ehrler, you use a combination of 2D mapping, SideVu and ClearVu CHIRP Sonar and Panoptix LiveScope to locate a likely looking point, and drop a bait to fish-holding brushpiles. In this Major League Lesson, Ehrler scopes out Watts Bar Reservoir for the very first time, using his Garmin electronics to find fish. The results speak for themselves!
