Gagliardi, Iaconelli Catch Key Fish to Advance to Knockout Round

March 17, 2020 • Bass Pro Tour

During Qualifying Day 4 of the General Tire Stage Three Presented by TrueTimber, both Anthony Gagliardi and Mike Iaconelli landed big fish when it mattered most, just in time to secure a spot in the Knockout Round.

Gagliardi landed a 6-pound, 1-ounce bass will less than 40 minutes left in Period 3. Gagliardi started the day in 20th place and fell below the Elimination Line for a period of time. But landing that 6-pounder means he’ll be fishing another day and taking home a paycheck.

Iaconelli landed a 7-13 with less than 15 minutes left in the third period and finished the day in 18th place. Today during the Knockout Round, weights will zero and the pros will fight to make it in the Top 8.
