GROVE, Okla. – Nothing is over until it’s over and anything is possible on Grand Lake, and Banks Shaw proved it with a nearly 30-pound comeback in Period 3 to win Zenni Stage 6 Presented by Toyota. At the end of Period 2, the young gun was sitting in fourth place with 27 pounds, 5 ounces on 11 scorable bass while Zack Birge and Dustin Connell had eclipsed the 50-pound mark.
Shaw rapidly rose through the ranks, catching nearly 25 pounds in the final 30 minutes alone to score his first Bass Pro Tour win and the $125,000 and lifetime of memories that comes with it.
Following an emotional finale, Shaw was joined by family, friends and fans at the postgame show where he celebrated his victory and hoisted his first Bass Pro Tour trophy.
