SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A lifetime of work has led to this. On Friday morning, MLF’s 35 best anglers hit Table Rock Lake for the first day of Bass Pro Shops REDCREST Presented by Mercury & Lowrance. This year, the cumulative weight from the first two days will determine which 10 anglers advance to the Championship Round with a clean slate, so the race is on to make the cut for a shot at bass fishing glory.
While Brooks Briscoe, son of Bass Pro Shops NASCAR driver Chase Briscoe, made the first cast with a massive crowd of fans nearby, Mark Daniels Jr. made the first catch and 20 more followed suit before the clock hit 8 a.m. as the catchfest began.
