BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Lay Lake proved to be every bit as good as expected as the field of 50 anglers pulled in 362 bass on Day 1 of Bass Pro Shops REDCREST Powered by OPTIMA Lithium. While the vast majority were 2-pounders, a handful of anglers caught at least one 4-pounder and a few were able to post a 5-pounder to SCORETRACKER® in the first half of the two-day race to make the Top 20.
