OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. – No language barrier could stifle the joy Takahiro Omori felt as he scored his first Bass Pro Tour win at O’Reilly Auto Parts Stage 2 Presented by Lowrance on Lake Hartwell. The Tokyo, Japan, angler’s bass fishing résumé is a long one, but until today a Bass Pro Tour trophy had eluded him. As the only angler to never use his forward-facing sonar, Omori’s 36 pounds, 6 ounces on 12 scorable bass added up to a win that was a lifetime in the making.

Following his suspenseful Stage 2 victory, Omori and the rest of the Top 10 anglers hit the Post Game Show’s stage to discuss the Championship Round experience and celebrate Omori’s victory with family, friends, and fans.
