CALVERT CITY, Ky. – Every win on the Bass Pro Tour has been a special one for Jacob Wheeler – but his ninth trophy comes with a bit more sentimental value to it as it’s his first win since his father passed away earlier this year and it was done so on water they used to fish together, Kentucky Lake.
The Tennessee titan maintained a steady pace on SCORETRACKER®, ultimately stacking up 46 scorable bass weighing 110 pounds, 13 ounces to win Lowrance Stage 5 Presented by Mercury by 32 pounds, 7 ounces over second place.
Surrounded by family, friends and fans, Wheeler celebrated his latest win as he was presented with his trophy, $150,000 check, and a lifetime worth of memories to go with them.
