Stage 5 kicked off with a bang as two anglers broke the 100-pound mark on Day 1 – Michael Neal in first place with 39 scorable bass weighing 103 pounds, 10 ounces and Jake Lawrence close behind him with with 40 scorable bass at 100-3. With numbers like these on a single day and the elimination line just above 40 pounds, everyone is still within striking distance of making the Top 20 by lines out tomorrow. But for now, it’s Alton Jones holding things down in 20th with 17 scorable bass weighing 42-4.
