BAY CITY, Mich. – Rookie Matt Becker accomplished the seemingly impossible, coming in from behind to win Angler of the Year and Minn Kota Stage Seven Presented by Suzuki during Championship Sunday. Becker started the day in fifth place with 17 pounds, 14 ounces with a significant amount of catching up to do and the odds far from being in his favor to win the AOY.

But, luck and skill were on his side as everything lined up just right for him to take home both titles by catching 22-11 on Sunday for a two-day total of 40-9.
