CULLMAN, Ala. – Every second and every ounce counted in the race to stay above the Toro Cut Line in the Knockout Round where 38 anglers entered, but only eight advanced at the Favorite Fishing Stage Three Presented by Mercury. Check out some of the highlights as the Championship Round’s roster was set.
Brent Ehrler and Shin Fukae were neck and neck in the final minutes of Stage Three with Ehrler coming out on top for the coveted eighth-place position by a mere 4 ounces with only seconds to spare.
Ehrler and the seven other top anglers from the Knockout Round will join Qualifying Round winners Michael Neal and Jacob Wheeler for the Championship Round on Sunday.
