Lake Breakdown: Watts Bar Lake Breakdown with Tennessee Pro Jason Lambert

June 7, 2022 • Bass Pro Tour

SPRING City, Tenn. – Tennessee’s Jason Lambert hit Watts Bar Lake on Tuesday with enough intel on the fishery to know he needed to start the day off with no expectations for General Tire Stage Five on Watts Bar Lake Presented by Covercraft.

But, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have some thoughts on the lake. Lambert predicts Stage Five will be a grind with the Toro Cut Line at 10 to 12 pounds to make the Knockout Round.

Unlike other Tennessee River tournaments, the bass on Watts Bar don’t seem to get off shore like they do in other places, but it’s still an offshore fishery, according to Lambert. Grass and a variety of cover make Watts Bar a complex setting so he and the rest of Group B are quickly finding out what works best for them on Watts Bar.

Fans can catch all of the Watts Bar Lake action on the MLF NOW! live stream on MajorLeagueFishing.com, on the free MLF app or on MyOutdoorTV.com.
